A mixture of curiosity, excitement and anxiety increases from time to time. My baby will come out within a month!!! I believe that after the delivery, nothing can scare me off.
Lucas, how do you look? I guess you look like 'Mini Jeffrey'.
Jeff and I prepared a very lovely and cozy room for Lucas. Our maid will come this Wednesday. Everything is almost prepared. What I should do is to tune my emotion and thought, to maintain myself in good mood.
I imagine that right after my delivery, I will send out a new diary to inform you all...if possible!!! =)

37th week
Lucas is approaching 37th week after conception. Had a check up this morning, it is great that everything is in the right track. My doc said my baby is in perfect size, perfect position and perfect weight. I am also in the right range of weight growth. She looks even happier than me.
'Since 37th week, the baby will come out anytime.' My doc claimed. She totally agreed with me to start my maternity leave right after next week, and reminded me not to eat too much and do enough exercise, if I want to have a natural birth.
It sounds so exciting to me. Frankly speaking, a bit freaking out.
I've planned what to do before the birth during my leave:
1. Read books
2. Blogging
3. Jogging, not sure if I can go swimming as I know the swimming pool in our estate would be opened on May 1.
4. Playing 'Roaster Coaster Tycoon 3' – a PC game I addicted to since last weekend.
5. Shopping (now is saving money)
6. Meet friends
Wow, sounds so amazing, isn't it? However, I would have hard time after the delivery, you know, feeding and taking care of a slippery yet delicate little creature… Can you imagine a girl like me who does not know how to make coffee could manage to do these things?

The best investments
I believe the below items are the best investments for my pregnancy, there benefit me throughout the period:
The book '100 tips for a Happy Pregnancy' - a wacky book which provides me a sense of humour during this challenging period.
The book 'What to expect when you're expecting' - the bestselling pregnancy book in US which gives comprehensive information in month-by-month format, and also other important tips for expecting mothers, such as dieting, exercising, labor & delivery.
Clarins 'Tonic' Body Treatment Oil - Each golden precious drop helps me to combat itching and avoid stretch marks on my belly.
Prenatal Yoga DVD from Shiva Rea - to promote the great elasticity, comfort and fit during my pregnancy.
Bird nest - a table spoon a day achieves supple and glowing skin. Highly recommend mother-to-be to save their money from expensive skin care products and facial treatment to invest on good bird nest. The result is much more obvious and effective.
There are only 4 weeks to go, I feel very calm in this moment but will be very nervous in the next minute. Anyway, I believe God is so good to me and I have quite a comfortable pregnancy so far!!

Fair skin
Quite productive this morning and I've already accomplished several missions.
Actually, being a good staff, I should be proactive and take initiative to tell Jelly I have capacity to work on other works, but I want to be laid back a bit and write the online diary.
I feel fatigue easily in these few days. Thanks god that there are many holidays in April and May, I have more chances to take rest.
As my due day is approaching, I feel that my clients treat me nicer and better, they are not that pushy as before.
I am drinking Ovaltine right now, the chocolate flavor drink which is very popular in Hong Kong . I don't drink it much in my pregnancy; it is because I worry my baby will have dark color if I drink beverages in dark color everyday.
My ex-colleague told me that his new born baby girl has dark skin because her wife suddenly obsessed in chocolate milk when she was expecting.
However, this morning, I just feel that Ovaltine is irresistible. I guess a cup would still be okay, and Jeff said it is alright for a boy with dark skin tone. Hopefully the milk I drink everyday could 'dilute' the chocolate color!! =)

Heater inside my body
It's spring time in Hong Kong, the temperature is around 20-26 degree, but my feeling is that it is around 30 degree.
All my colleague are wearing long sleeves coats or jackets, but I walk around with my short sleeves blouse in the air-conditioned office. This is an unusual me. I used to be shivering whenever in air-conditioned places before my pregnancy.
I guess my blood circulation improved a lot.
Today is quite busy, I left office around 8pm, but my pals were still working hard. Sometimes, I wonder how will my working life be after I become a real mother? Can I fit in the working place anymore??
Anyway, this is no longer the major thing I concern seriously at the moment. A tougher yet happiest task is in front of me - Lucas will be born in 5 weeks!!! It is the most miraculous moment!! Can you imagine a life has developed in your womb for nine months and than comes out to become an individual?? Now I start to understand what reproduction means.
By the way, another contributor of this blog is missing again. Haven't heard from him for quite a long time....

Sport Day
This Morning, the last day of the Easter's holiday, I went out to green place for stretching and breathing fresh air.
Jeff and I woke up early and went straight ahead to Garden Golf Club in Sai Kung. The stunning scenic view captured my eyes!! Ma On Shan settled next the site, everywhere was so green and quiet. We spent an hour there; I'd also swung the wedge for 20 minutes, in front of my big tummy.
In the afternoon, we had seafood lunch with my family. Daddy paid the bill; he said he wanted to treat us. I ate crabs and shells, Mom said it's okay for the baby as long as I don't eat them everyday.
After the feast, we went jogging in the Lion Club country track in Sai Kung. I felt very exhausted when we got back to the car park.
I slept for an hour after I came back home.
Then I crawled up from the bed and prepared to go for Tom's wedding banquet. I had a flash idea to skip the banquet, but it would be very impolite to do that just because I wanted to sleep a bit more.
The wedding finished at 11:00pm. I had a sound sleep that night.

34th week check up
Yesterday I had a check up, it's so strange that I didn't gain any pound in last two weeks.
Thanks god that baby is still growing in the right pace.
This is a busy working week. I held a training for my oversea colleague from Monday to Wednesday, and then I had to collate a costing with Samantha for a project which covers many countries, not to mention I should finish some works for Jelly, as usual.
Last night, my brain was still working while sleepying, I dreamt that I was calculating the project cost in the excel file. What's more, in between the 'calculation', I woke up 4 times in the mid night to visit the bathroom, plus 1 time with a serious leg cramp. Strictly speaking, I hadn't fallen asleep at all.
Today, as the first day of Easter's holiday, I dared to wake up at 7 am.
Anyway, I still feel great today, because I bought myself a gift. You could visit 'Manki's Secret Diary' to see what it is!!

Gaining weight
It's the 33rd week of my pregnancy. I really worry about my weight gaining speed, it seems I added up pounds rapidly in the third trimester.
I have jogging in these two days, 30 minutes each time. Actually my limbs and face don't get fatter, but how come the figures in the weight is still growing up sharply??
An article in Apple Diary stated that the maximum weight gain for ALL pregnant women is 28 pounds, over this level will be dangerous. Of course, same as its other news, it is exaggerating and over-generalizing, but I still feel upset after I saw that article, because I am approaching to 28 pounds also, but I am still in 33rd week....
Ah!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn the Apple Diary!!!!!!!!!!!

Dolphins
Tonight the Animal Planet Channel talked about Dolphins. They are so adorable and intelligent. Lucas loves them very much. I know it because he also swan and shaked in my tummy peacefully when the dolphins on TV were playing with Robbin William, the guest of that program.
Lucas, I hope you will become a nature lover, to treasure our planet, and to appreciate our mother nature!

Baby Boom
By the way, I find that there are much more pregnant women in HK comparing the last few years. I guess this is the post-economic downturn baby boom period.
I feel really hot!!! Now is only 25 degrees but I feel it is 30. Now I am wearing a short sleeves night gown but I am sweating!!
Pregnancy is really something!

Mood Swings
I have the anxiety of impending the motherhood in the last two weeks. I understand this is perfectly normal but I just could not help to be sensitive.
Then on Friday, I got a phone call from my good friend Ellen. She is very nice and called me for an update almost once a month. Although we had never been the closest friends, she seems to understand me a lot. She worried that if I have any emotional fluctuation recently, and she asked me to find someone to talk if I feel fatigue psychologically.
Thanks a lot Ellen!! I am much better now after our little chat.
Ralph said that I actually look very nice as a pregnant woman, because pregnant women can be very unattractive actually. Well, I would like to take this as a compliment. Afterall, I should understant that no matter how I look, I will look totally different two months later.
And finally, I want to tell those who do not offer me a seat in the transport means, you have no obligation to give me your seats, and I prefer to stand more actually, but please stop sitting on the seat and staring at me from head to toes and then focusing on my belly for several minutes, okay? It is so irriatating !!!

The exhaustive third trimester
It is undeniable that I am not that good looking today.
I hadn't had enough sleep, and I feel very tired, maybe I should have more than 8 hours sleep everyday. My face even gets some allergic, the skin condition went down. My hands are as coarse as sand paper. Let alone that I look baggier and my boss keeps calling me 'Fatty', he just forgot that this is actually his real name, not mine.
Ahhhhh.....
Last weekend was really fat burning effective for me and Jeff. On Saturday, we went for 'baby' shopping with my Bonbon and mother-in-law. We hunt for all new born baby stuffs, and Jeff had to take care Bonbon's son, Lok Lok. As this 32 pounds little boy was sleepy, Jeff had to carry him in his arms for more than an hour…. Being trapped in a kids' section of a shopping mall and carrying a heavy child at the same time is surely a nightmare for most men in the world.
For me, the shopping was quite interesting, as I could buy a lot of cute stuff, those you dared not to wear since 5 years old, but it is also a difficult task for me to keep standing and walking for several hours. I felt tired much easier compared with last few months.
Now, I could fall asleep anytime, I tell you.

Maternity Check
Tomorrow I will have another maternity check, hope I hadn't gained much pounds this month!!
I am going to meet Lucas again.
Have returned to parents-in-law's home for 4 days, should adapt the new life, well this is not toally new for me because I lived with them before, but I still needs time to get familiar with several tedious thing.
Afterall, this place is still very comfortable, the place is much spacious and the air quality is better, which is good for a pregnant woman.

Non stop training?!
Hey Lucas,
How come you didn't have to sleep last Thursday night? I mean, you seem to have a non-stop training for walking, kicking, stretching and kicking. I even could feel that you got a rhythm for tapping, you did the stepping for almost 1 minute.
Anyway, even I could not fall asleep that night, I am still glad that you are so healthy and active.
Meanwhile, I am watching the 78th Oscar Academy Awards. I wanna watch the Broke Back Mountain, but your daddy worried it would give you some bad impact....
